Ikea hack

Our huge Ikea Maskros lamp did not survive our move - mostly because we didn't really take that good care of it, but this weekend E and I turned the spare parts of the lamp into a huge flower lamp for Elinor's room.

It was a lot of fun and has been a while since I build something fun like this and I am so happy with the result - even better, Elinor really really loves it.

We split all the original white flowers of their polls (they are now being turned into angels for christmas) and then we cut 3x160 circles in tree different sizes of all kinds of different coloured tissue paper. So each flower was then made up of three different pieces of tissue paper and clipped back on to the polls.

And there you go. An actual blog post :-)
